IoT network architectures, protocols and QoS enhancements for supporting real-time interactions in CPS

We focus on developing new models, algorithms and tools for leveraging real-time QoS and dependability issues. Specific to the high dynamic behavior and time-varying QoS requirements of CPS, IoT and especially industrial IoT networks must provide self-adaptability. So our main objective is to make the IoT protocols capable of providing self-adaptive real-time QoS support at MAC, routing and application cross-layers, contributing thus to increase the CPS dependability.

Our current research topics include:

Typical applications are environment monitoring (e.g. smart home/building), smart city sensing, in-vehicle and connected vehicle real-time communication, smart grid monitoring and control
